Baritones/Low Brass

Mr. Thomann received his Bachelor of Music Education degree from Eastern Michigan University and is currently the Associate Director of Bands at Plymouth-Canton High School in Plymouth, Michigan. Prior to his current appointment, Thomann served as the Director of Choirs and the Assistant Director of Bands at Novi High School in Novi, Michigan, where he additionally served a one-year appointment as the Interim Director of Bands. As a clinician, Mr. Thomann has been actively involved with numerous marching bands and indoor drum lines throughout the state of Michigan. As a performer, Mr. Thomann was a marching member of the Southwind Drum and Bugle Corps from 2002 to 2003, and later served as a member of the instructional staff at Southwind from 2004 to 2006. Now in his fourth year with Spirit of Atlanta, “G-Jon” is excited to be returning to the brass staff for his second season.
