Chad Heiny
Front Ensemble Arranger / Designer
Chad Heiny is the Percussion Specialist and Assistant Director of Bands at Kiski Area High School in Vandergrift, PA. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in both Music Education and Music Performance from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a Master’s Degree in Music Performance from Louisiana State University. He has studied percussion with Dr. Brett Deitz, Dr. Gary Olmstead, and Dr. Jack Stamp.
In addition to his duties at Kiski, Chad is an adjudicator for both the Mid-east Performance Association of Dayton, OH and the Pennsylvania Federation of Contest Judges. His prior Drum Corps experiences include serving as Front Ensemble Arranger for the Glassmen Drum and Bugle Corps (2003-2007) and as a Front Ensemble technician for the Boston Crusaders Drum and Bugle Corps (2009-10). Chad is a proud endorser of Innovative Percussion sticks and mallets. He resides in Leechburg, PA with his wife Nichole and their dog Cailey.
