Erin Leifer

Lead Guard Instructor
Erin Leifer began participating in the world of color guard in 2000 as a member of her high school marching band. Her first drum corps experience was with Crossmen Drum and Bugle Corps in 2003. She went on to spend three seasons with Phantom Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps. Starting in 2004, Erin was a seven-year member of the Black Watch Winter Guard of Mount Laurel, NJ and was chosen captain in 2008. In 2011, she took on a new role with Black Watch, beginning teaching as part of the movement staff. Erin’s first color guard teaching experience was with the Middle Township Nuance Winter Guard. During the fall, she worked with their award winning marching band for five consecutive seasons. Erin currently works with the Timber Creek High School Marching Band, directs an independent winter guard team, and is a full time student in the Education Program at the Richard Stockton College of NJ. Prior to joining Spirit of Atlanta’s staff, Erin worked for two seasons with the Colts Drum & Bugle Corps. Erin is very excited to once again be a member of the Spirit of Atlanta guard staff and embark on her third season with the program.
