Choreographer

Chavis is very excited about his second year with the Spirit family. He is from Spartanburg, SC, but currently resides in Saint Petersburg, Fl. He earned his Bachelors in Music Education degree from Anderson University in Anderson, SC. Chavis has performed with the DCI World Champions The Cavaliers in 2002, the WGI class "A" Champion and "Open" class finalist Infiniti Winter guard from 1999-2003, and Nolan Winter guard in 2002. As a teacher he has taught The Cast Winter guard, and WGI "Open" class bronze medalist and "World" class finalist Seminole World Guard. He also choreographs for the Seminole High School Warhawk marching band. Chavis is a summer camp instructor and choreographer at Marching Auxiliaries from Plano, TX. Away from the guard activity Chavis is the Choral Director at Seminole Middle School.
