Scott Beck
Assistant Color Guard Caption Head
Scott Beck has been involved with the color guard activity for many decades. He marched in the Miller’s Blackhawk Winter Guard, along with the Suncoast Sound and Crossmen Drum and Bugle Corps. After marching, Scott went on to work with many high school and independent winter guards. Some of these groups include: Lassiter High School (2008 WGI Scholastic A Finalist), Pope High School (2002 WGI Scholastic World Bronze Medalist), John Overton High School (1994 & 1995 Scholastic A and Open Champions) and JSU Center Stage (2006 Independent Open Bronze Medalist and 2008 Independent World Finalist). He started judging for WGI in 2010 as an equipment judge and is very excited to be part of the judging community. Scott is current the color guard director at Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, North Carolina.
