Jude Boughton
Color Guard Caption Head / Designer
Jude Boughton is excited to start his third year with The Spirit of Atlanta Drum & Bugle Corps. Previous drum corps work includes Phantom Regiment (Color Guard Caption Head 03-04), The Colts (Program Coordinator 05-09), The Glassmen (Movement Instructor 05), & The Reading Buccaneers (Color Guard Designer 98-99). Boughton as worked extensively as a dance clinician and movement instructor around the country working with groups including Mechanicsburg High School, Ben Davis High School, Pittston Area High School, Triton High School, Juxtaposition Winter Guard, and most notably with The Black Watch Winter Guard for the past nine seasons. Attending Kutztown University of Pennsylvania with a focus in Theater & Dance and additional studies in “Movement for Non-Dancers“ & “Dance in the Musical Theater“ Boughton has also served as a movement adjudicator since 1997 working extensively for WGI, DCA, and NJA. Originally from Pittston, Pennsylvania Jude has just recently moved to Austin, Texas where he is employed at Round Rock High School as visual designer and color guard director. Jude is proud to be serving as a member of the WGI board of directors.
