Welcome back, if you have spent an evening with us before. For those of you who have never experienced a live drum corps show, you won't believe your eyes and ears. Spirit will rehearse as a full corps for the first time this weekend, April 24-26 in Jacksonville, Alabama as the color guard returns after a busy WGI indoor season. Excitement is running high as the corps prepares the 2009 production "Live...In Concert!" for the upcoming summer tour The corps looks forward to completing a very successful "winter season" and beginning full time rehearsals during the Memorial Day weekend.

Spirit’s website has been in dire need of a new, fresh look for quite some time.
We would all like to thank Kevin Powell (Spirit Alum 89-91) for the incredible amount of work he put into the new design you see here. Most people don’t really know just how much work is involved in something like this, but trust me, it’s a lot.

With only one camp remaining before move-ins, Spirit has built lots of momentum during the winter season, having not only played the entire show through in March, but having already tweaked and revised music based on show development and the high degree of talent, commitment, and energy coming from the members. According to Mark Waymire, “It is something that as a new Program and Educational Director you hope for, but something you expect to take perhaps a few seasons to develop; members and staff agreeing in detail on what we want, and agreeing eagerly and willingly on how to get there.”
